A lot of times, not sure if this is the case here, Wal-Mart comes in to a smaller community and drives all the other competition out of business. Leaving it as the only place in town. It doesn't even have to be a very small community...look what it did to Dodge City. Wal Mart closed Alco, Gibson's, made a ghost town of the downtown area. Wal Mart first comes to a city and feeds the founding fathers what a good thing they will be for the community. They say they will create new jobs. In reality, there are 1.5 jobs lost for every job that Wal Mart creates. Then there are the places like Pawhuska, OK... Wal Mart comes to town toward the end of the oil boom to this small "oil town" community. Local "mom & pop" stores that have done business in downtown Pawhuska for decades all close down because Wal Mart gouged prices until they closed then were able to raise the prices back after there was no competition. Then, a Wal Mart Supercenter is built in Bartlesville, OK and Wal Mart in their great thinking decides to close the smaller Pawhuska Wal Mart to consolidate and make the Bartlesville store more profitable...Bartlesville is 25 miles from Pawhuska. Now Pawhuska is almost a literal ghost town......

Moral to the story....Wal Mart Sucks and is slowly ruining America!
