I've said it before but here's the refresher on this one...
Fundies love the U.S. like a child loves its mother - blindly. Mother can do no wrong and anyone who says she can is a bad person worthy of disdain and anger.
Progressives love the U.S. but in a different way. It's more like a careing loving relationship where two people love each other with all their hearts. They know they aren't perfect but that love allowes them to see the flaws they both have and work to make a stronger relationship.
It's not hate to want to do better. But it is self destructive to love blindly.
