State Senator Hueslkamp's petition.

It's time to stop the Judiciary from making Legislation and Senator Huelskamp has an online petition that should be signed by all Kansas Voters.

From his website:
Quote:
PETITION TO THE KANSAS LEGISLATURE
KEEP THE JUDICIARY OUT OF MY WALLET

Whereas, the founding fathers of the state of Kansas clearly intended that all taxing and spending powers are retained by the People and their Elected Representatives,

Whereas, members of the Kansas Supreme Court are appointed in a secretive process not open to the public,

Whereas, in defiance of the Constitutional Separation of Powers, the Court ordered the Legislature to pass a $290 million school spending increase by July 8, 2005 or be held in contempt of the Court,

Whereas, Governor Kathleen Sebelius and a slim Legislative majority capitulated to the Courts' demand and passed the largest spending increase in state history,

Whereas, the Court is demanding another $563 million in spending thus requiring devastating tax increases,

Be It Resolved: We strongly declare our support for a Constitutional Amendment declaring that the Judiciary has no authority to dictate how Elected Representatives of the People should raise and spend our hard-earned tax money.

Signed:
