Lets look closer at the right to bear arms since it shares some factors with the right to free speech.

Our right to bear arms has been threatened by abusers of that right, but do we let it happen to protect that right? No we single out the abusers and punish them and take that right away. I don't hear the liberals crying because we have taken the constitutional right to bear arms away from these abusers.

So we can and have taken away constitutional rights from abusers when necessary. What threatens our rights is to let abuse go unpunished.

With freedom comes responsibility, abuse that freedom and its generally taken away as should be. What I don't get is why the most perverted abuse of our rights is allowed to go unpunished and even supported with excuses.
