| It does sound like the power plug. It should have 4 connectors(in the plastic plug) and 2 wires a red and a black. Look at your new drive and see how its plugged in and do the same with the old drive. There should be some extra power wires coming from the power supply.
If you didn't unplug anything from your new drive it should have booted up.
