I listened to the recording and don't really believe Bennish was all that out of line to question this (or any) Government in a Geography class cuz borders are politically defined; as per the olden days when rivers, mountains and oceans limited travel.

Modern geography should include foreign influences along with a good look at ancient maps; and the reasons why the borders have changed.
