State education commissioner to visit Dodge City
State Board of Education member Connie Morris, District 5 and Education Commissioner Bob Corkins will embark on a two-day tour of western Kansas, visiting 12 cities in Morris’ district November 14 and 15. The informal meet and greets will be held at area public schools and central-community locations. They are open to anyone who is interested in attending.
Morris said she is very excited to have the commissioner visiting western Kansas.
"This will be a wonderful opportunity for people to get-to-know the commissioner and for him to experience life in our communities," she said.
Corkins said he is looking forward to the trip and learning as much about western Kansas as possible.
The Dodge City stop will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Holiday Inn Express, 2320 W Wyatt Earp Blvd.
