I don't know how others feel about this...but I would think the unexcused absense would not qualify as a day to stop teaching. The kids who show up for school deserve to be taught, not just goof off. So you see, regardless of what we all think about this not affecting us, it DOES affect our children. Sad, very sad.

Personally, I think the teachers should stick with the curriculum, and if others fall behind because they are making a statement, then so be it. It is supposed to be a day without them, why should teaching come to a halt for all? We learned before they were here.
I agree with all of you, but remember Our President saying No child left behind.
