| When my step-son played indoor soccer last year, the leading score was frozen if the leading team had more than a 6-point lead. Then if, and when, the other team caught up, scores were allowed for both teams. That's fine and dandy for 6-7-8 year olds, but when the kids are teens, they really ought to know how it feels to be defeated and how to deal with it. What is the magic age for teaching kids there's a winner and a loser?
