| Kinda like my post eluded to...I have pulled over people for speeding in that construction zone. The way I look at it, and this is my personal ethics, anything from 28-31 mph in that zone gets you my overhead lights flashed at ya as a warning. 32mph and up will get ya pulled over and a ticket unless you have a really good reason for the speed. But, I dont go haulin balls to catch up with someone - if I cant turn around safely or pull into traffic safely, then oh well, another will be along in a few minutes. As an ex-field trainer, I would train my new guys to be aware of their surroundings when they pull someone over - if it is not safe to do, then wait before hitting the overheads to stop someone until they can pull over, out of the way of others. This is me and my training...not all do it the same way. If you do have a problem with a particular officer then by all means, let admin at the PD know about it - the last thing I want is my chosen profession with my chosen department to look bad in the public's eye. Blame the person, not the group.
As far as watching videos, I doubt they would let you. However, if you reported the incident, the video will more than likely be reviewed by the admin. Now if you were a defendant in a case, and there was a video tape, your lawyer could subpoena it. |
