Yes, one is going to open where Lorenzo's BBQ was in the gas station north of the Mall.

I am glad to hear of new businesses in town. There are still people who try to make it work. I wish there was a way to get the locals to realize there is more than Wal-Mart and Dillons in town. We have some great shops downtown. A pet store opened up where Miss Kitty's was by the steer. Miss Kitty's moved up by Brown Shoes. Many of the shops downtown are hispanic and have some neat merchandise.

If we would pledge to check out two new (new to the town and new to you) place every week, it would take a year or longer to see them all. That is what many of these business owners want, locals to find them and atleast check out what they are doing. I do try to visit two new businesses a week. Believe it or not, I have not run out of ones to try. I go even if it is not my cup of tea, just to show my support. For some, I am a repeat visitor. For others, atleast I know they are there and what they have if anyone asks in the future.

So, please join me in atleast checking out what some local residents of Dodge City are doing to try and improve Dodge City. Visit a business you have never been to. Tell them thank you for taking a risk. If you liked what you saw, tell others they are there.
