| Boot Hill needs mo money! The solution to Boot Hill and it's financial difficulties are very simple to resolve.
First, Boot Hill needs money from the city. The city is in a bind, because they really don't want to raise property taxes, to support Boot Hill.
Alot of people would like the city to use the WND sales tax to bail Boot Hill out, but a judge in Wichita says not untill the city starts the construction of the Special Events Center. (The last of the four WND projects).
So what's the hold up? Start building the SEC! Then we can give part of the WND sales tax money to Boot Hill.
Greg Starks, what the hold up? Get your committee together and "Git 'er done" Lord knows the city commission will pass whatever you gentlemen (and woman) propose!
Just a quick question here...Why is the C.F.A.B. looking for an outside firm to manage and operate the S.E.C. (if, and when construction begins?) Maybe because when it falls flat on it's face, there will always be someone else to blame?
We can build the SEC, to the tune of $30,000,000.00. (2.6 million a year, just for principle and interest and another 1 million a year for operational expenses). Bail out Boot Hill with another $275,000.00/year, (which is now a trend). Keep supporting Legends Ball Park with $419,000.00 a year, and let's not forget D.C.R.P. at $492,000.00 a year. Oh! I almost forgot about the civic center parking lot!
Last figure I heard is that the WND sales tax brings in approx. 3.9 million dollars a year.
And after all this we can still give WND sales tax money to Round-Up, Trail of Fame, Boot Hill Theater, and whoever else puts their hand out!
You do the math! To me it just doesn't add up!!
In Conclusion......
The building of the Special Event Center will free up all of our WND sales tax money and allow us to bail out Boot Hill and any organization that needs money.
Please think about it!! |
