| Don't be fightin' on my B-day!!! Be nice! I don't like the smoking policies in many restaurants, either....but I like the food and am willing to pay the price. I just refuse to be seated where the tobacco smell makes my food smell or taste bad. Nothing wrong with having your preferences stated. When you ask to be seated in non-smoking, you should be far enough away from the smokers that you don't feel like you're one of them. We've asked to be reseated at times when we find ourselves surrounded by a haze of smoke -and I've never been refused. I find it amazing that someone could be so cold as to do that. Musta really been a bad day for her. If she'll do it to Wordy, she has likely done it before and probably will continue to do it. And it really doesn't matter if Wordy was nice or not when he asked to be reseated. True, he's not a real invitee, but they do expect to reap some rewards from having him visit their restaurant. So that makes him king for that hour.
