| I agree I agree with you that Lowell does a great job in matters like this, fighting the powers that be.
I just think the whole "prevailing winds argument" was exploited to keep it away from certain peoples' backyard. In Western Kansas, I've seen the wind out of the North as much as the South. Lowell did say that he wanted them to build in Ford county, just not that location. Unless they are willing to put it at least 10 miles from Dodge, you'd still get smell. Anywhere you put it, it will affect someones peace and environment. Ashland knew that and they acted accordingly.
All I am saying is that if it had been in North Dodge where I live, would I have been able to count on the same support?
My hat is off to Lowell for doing a great job in defeating this. He deserves mega kudos. I think most people would agree that they are happy to see him fight the good fight in keeping another stinking big business out of Dodge.
