1st and foremost sorry to hear that happened to a family member.

It's understandable that it is a bad experience. There is nothing good about a sex crime Tee. As far as the victim reliving the experience, well they have to get statements and will probably have the person do it more than once to see if it changes, it has to be accurate to stand up in court. The intrusive tests are the tests they need in court to convict the assailant. They have to consider all avenues, even the victim being not a victim because women calling rape happens frequently (not saying this in the case of your family). As far as DC PD finding the perp...gotta agree with you there.....
