I just returned from this afternoon's duties (checking all the trees & tires in the hood) and heard the familiar rumbling and burping once again.

I stopped the Windowz Update service (Enables the download and installation of Windows updates. If this service is disabled, this computer will not be able to use the Automatic Updates feature or the Windows Update Web site. BooHoo! I can enable it when I want it now.) and it fought me but finally stopped... and the problem stopped, too. Additionally, I disabled it. Mostly a'cuz it won't let me control its timing. The thing's like having a bobcat dropped in with the hope that it might find a mouse. Way too much inconvenience for a toy.

Just because bill microsoftdick gates' product is inferior doesn't mean I need to step aside while it attempts to correct its error(s) on a daily basis.
