| Since the Dems ran on “change the course” without defining a new course they can’t really claim a mandate. They don’t even have a direction. At least they don’t have one they want to tell us about. It isn’t at all like 1994 when Republicans defined their proposed changes, sweep both houses and worked from their list.
With the probable recount looming in Virginia it may be into December before we know the final outcome of the Senate. Not exactly what I’d call a sweeping victory for the Dems. |
