It’s funny how a change in staff always gets the rumor mill churning with speculation on motives. Recently someone (I can’t remember who) retired and said he just wanted to spend more time with his family and the media went nuts trying to guess the real political motive. Sometimes they may have issues like a family member being ill that they don’t want made public. I believe Rummy held that job longer than anyone else.
