| In uniform overseas today. Being stationed in Italy is a great thing, I get to see Europe, and eat all the pasta I can handle. The wine here is pretty good too. But there is something to be said for the wide open nothing that I came from back in the good old USA. One of the things I miss the most about being in the US is how Soldiers like me are looked upon. Here in Europe, if you see another American anywhere, there's about a 99% chance he's in the service. Maybe not Army (...and that's ok, I guess?), but definatly a service member. So on days like today, veterans day, we don't go around congratulating each other, we just go on doing our duty, looking out for one another. But we do feel better when we get a message from home, so thank you, because it's so much easier to do what we do when we know we are supported from home, no matter where home is.
