We went in to Afghanistan with a Brigade of troops (thats 1/4th of a Division) and managed to take the ENTIRE COUNTRY in 60 days or less. The Russians went in with several divisions, and NEVER held the entire thing. We might have learned something. As for the Jihad, there are those that believe the only way to defeat terror is to declare war on Islam, radical and otherwise. I say you can't kill an idea, but you can sure as hell kill the guy making the idea a reality. |
