How many kids live's did they F* up? They should pay the penalty for that. You do the crime you do the time....A few months rehab does not make these people productive citizens. You obviously don't understand, as well, Army of One. Aren't you in the military? Are you aware that meth was given to soldiers in earlier wars by the American Government? Are these people "takers" like you say above? Until you know, than you have no place to judge anybody. I agree if they keep messing up, than ya, they be on the offenders list, but your saying not to send them to rehab and instead prison? Don't we pay for that as well? Wouldn't our money be better spent sending them to rehab? All the answers are
YES. Isn't it better to be able to turn around some people and not none of them?? Recovery is different from abstinence and
Recovery is more than just quitting drugs. it's changing your entire way of life, your thinking, your behaviors, ect...In prison they can get worse!!! No, rehab doesn't always work, but it works better than prison obviously. I would rather spend my money on people getting educated to be more productive in life instead of getting educated on being a better criminal.
