It's always good to have a diverse mix of opinions.
I bullet proofed my home when I was in the midst of gang central, 700 block of fourth street. This was back in the mid 90's when the gangs were out of control in that area. Rival gangs at both end of the block. I was disliked by the gang-bangers because I worked with the gang detail within the police dept to help with the gang problems. The gangs didn't like it when I put up high intensity mercury lighting in the alley and in the front of the house and zoom-cameras pointed at their territories and supplied the police dept with the footage. So you have to understand something...as a community activist helping to take a stand to fight crime, I had to protect myself. There were shootings in my neighborhood nightly. I hope that puts things into perspective for ya.
