| The Rules of Conduct idea really troubles me.. It can and will give the city departments a lot more power over our elected officials.
You and I can fire the elected officials as often as every two years but we have no avenue of directly influencing the attitude or the hiring or firing of department heads or administrators or employees except through our commissioners.
Without having our elected officials to put pressure on anyone in the employed realm of local government we will lose a great deal in this deal.
As I remember from reading about this in the Globe, Mr Shearer wants this shearing to take place.
