I don't know any of the players but I do know in a similair case down here it was made clear the judge in some pleas just have to accept the pleas - it's the law. The attorneys hammer a=out a plea and the judge's job is to preside over the hearings - the judge is more or less there in case one or the other attorneys refuse the plea - just a thought - i remember it was all over the airwaves - they were ready to hang the judge - but the way the law read - it was actually the attorneys that made the deal - the judge was furious at the attorneys but couldnt' do anything................. If this is not the case here I would be pleanty pissed
