Great booger. I found my one and only large cent(1855) on 8th street believe it or not. Not exactly the oldest part of town but you just never know. My goal is a flying eagle cent. I know where to find it I just got to find that spot.

Poor Boy we would be happy to show you how that detector works. The high-end detectors can be intimidating but they don't need to be. My DFX has a slew of adjustments but I'll bet any first timer can use it easily with just a bit of direction.

You should always buy the best detector you can afford. Too many people make the mistake of buying a cheap detector just to see if they like it and give up because they can't find anything. There are some tricks of the trade that can take years to learn but they can also be taught in a very short time.

In fact I'd take the bet I can spend an hour one on one with anybody and have them finding coins within that hour.
