Personally I like my idea for a "Event's Center"....

I think it should be a combo "events center/casino/hotel" With a casino you would have hotels and vendors begging to be part of that. I don't think there is a decent (non-indian) run casino within 300 miles of here. You would draw from most of western Kansas, Wichita, OK Panhandle, North KS and even Colorado. A casino doesn't discriminate and it would be a way to keep the illegals money in the area....lol. The casino could have a wild west theme complete with a wild west type bar and role player cowboys and such....

As for the events...one event comes to mind that both whites and hispanics like..>Boxing. The Casino in KC has boxing both pro (obviously not the big championship matches) and amateur. Boxing is HUGE in Dodge. A lot of hispanics go to bars to watch the pay for view fights and it's SRO. I think an occasional boxing match and some wrestling and/or ultimate fighting (they recently had one in Garden that sold out) would do well. A casino would draw more conventions here also. Along with Casino drawing more people you could add a small hotel tax..(the did that in Missouri but not a small one) and use that tax money also. To me this would draw a lot more people and appeal to more of a diverse crowd than some 8 million dollar cowboy and horse show....just my thoughts.
