Macdaddy, I’ve watched the CC issue in other states for about 20 years and the bad things you describe just don’t happen. CC holders don’t think of themselves as police or imagine themselves as Clint Eastwood.

The real number of folks that get permits is a small percentage. The last figures that I saw had Florida the highest at 4%. Most states are only 2 or 3%. Permit holders caught in any sort of wrongdoing are at a smaller percent than non-permit holders. The last time I saw numbers on mistakenly shooting someone other than the real bad guy civilians screw up as a percentage less often the police officers.

What has been shown is when CC laws are put into effect violent crime rates go down with women as a percentage getting more benefit than men. Everyone benefits from lower crime rates including non-permit holders.

A CC law is long overdue and proven by the track records in other states as a good thing.
