In my experience religion is the cause of most of the problems, violence and horrible things that happen on this planet. <- Sounds like a phobia to religion too me.
Then, just by their nature, those religions clash because the people wo follow one set of rules look at the rules set by another group and they feel threatened because both of them are saying that their set is the only right one. <- I live by my own set of rules as most people of religion I know do. I don't expect anyone else to live by those rules except by choice and it has been my observation that most people of religion do the same. With the exception of radicals of course. However I do not "clash" with my neighbors so why should religion?
Well humans being stupid creatures at heart they just can't let that other set of rules draw people away from theirway of thinking because if those OTHER guys get more people then our group would be wrong...Again it sounds like a phobia. A fear that people are so "stupid" that they are drawn to religion without choice. |
Have you ever thought that just maybe there is other reasons, besides just being stupid creatures, that people are drawn to religion? Perhaps day to day exposure to people that have no reason to live. People that have no belief other than life is little more than a struggle to live only to die? Or seeing these people of religion happy with their lives which has the influence to help others be happy with theirs?
