Buried Treasure: Bottle Cache

Back in 1965 the Arkansas experienced one of it's 30-40 years floods which made a mess out of pretty much everything south of the tracks. At that time the Pepsi/Coke bottling plant was on Trail near Wright Park. It was flooded contaminating all the bottles and were not destroyed but buried.

They were taken to some property owned by them in Wilroads Garden at the time were a trench was dug, and they were buried. It is said the 10,000 cases were taken out and buried.

Now I can't remember whether there was 12 or 24 bottles to a case back then but even at 12 per case that would be 120,000 bottles. These vintage bottles are worth roughly $1 each bring the buried treasures value to either $120,000(12 per case) or $240,000(24 per case).
