It's called being responsible.
I'm happy you seem to live in a world where nothing happens you have no control over, unfortunately, some of us live in a different world. Circumstances beyond my control are a fact of life, for me anyway.

Again I say other than jobs such as working in a bank I highly doubt a background check, at most jobs, checks on your financial abilities. In fact I'm pretty sure there are laws against it.

Point is nothing would have ever been said if not for this mans public title. Dragging someone dirty laundry out for all to see for no more reason than you can is pretty petty. If it affected his ability to do his job thats one thing but I don't believe it does, so that makes it simply a thoughtless, rude and pointless act.

Now don't take it wrong you are probably right in some cases, but as for me a divorce + doctor bills left me no choice. I had a family to feed. It's not like I was living beyond my means, hell I drove an old station wagon with no forward gears. For weeks I drove in reverse everywhere I went. Needless to say I didn't drive much and when I did it took a long time to get anywhere.
