That's a very good point Spike. I forgot that they do indeed "own" Dodge. I guess my point is there just doesn't seem like the DCPD has much of a presence in
DC. And I guess I don't think 1 or 2 more per shift will help. We need more!! I think LFB makes a good case that Dodge has a lot of things going on in this town to make a good training base. So, it just seems to me that perhaps they are over worked and need more manpower.
I just know that when I travel down a street and I pass an officer, I immediately look to see if I'm speeding. I would tend to think that just having more officers available for patrol (especially at night when we have unnecessary painters, vandals, etc.) would help ease the crime numbers. Just having the patrol cars driving down streets prone to incidents might decrease the #. But maybe I'm totally offbase. My degree is not in criminal justice, it was in "kegology".
