I really feel the american people have many different reasons for wanting the US to pull out of Iraq, but I don't have faith in any poll anymore. They can be skewed to show whatever the pollster wants. The people VOTED in to congress are representing the VOTERS and want to appear popular for future VOTES. I feel the president now and in the future needs to really consider the consequences of pull US forces out of Iraq. Yes, we stirred up the hornet's nest by going in and getting Sodam Insane out of power which most will agree that this was a good thing (source: my own poll!). But the responsible thing to do is finish the job. All experts from both parties agreed that there would be a "power vacuum" caused by removing Hussein. We must finish the job. The fact that more time has been needed in getting the new Iraqi govenmernt going should really be no suprise. Look how many years it took to get our own government going. |
In the words of my beloved father:
"Then shit or get off the pot."
Quit dragging this freakin' thing out..........4 years is long enough. Nuke the bastards and get it over with.........I, for one, am sick of the current strategy..........
Enough is enough already........
P.S. I think all three reasons posted above are part of the overall 60%
