| I think the problem is, unlike our civil war, having the wrong people win control of Iraq will have dire consequences for the US. We have much more at stake in Iraq than most people care to see. If we pull out before giving the right people control we could well pay for it on our own shores in our own blood.
Winning the war isn't to defeat the enemy but to walk away without having to look back over our shoulders.
