| That pretty much nailed what I was thinking about when I heard that decision. Without carbon dioxide all plant life will die. Plants need the CO2 for that little process called photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis (photo=light, synthesis=putting together), generally, is the synthesis of glucose from sunlight, carbon dioxide and water, with oxygen as a waste product. It is arguably the most important biochemical pathway known; nearly all life depends on it.
How can CO2 be a pollutant if plants need it to live and nearly all life needs the waste oxygen that the plants make by using it?
