I was very frustrated yesterday at the media's constant attempts to get those involved at VT to criticize the university administration's slowness to react after the first shootings. Everyone they interviewed had to face some type of leading question about outrage over the failures of the school leaders. Thankfully, I never saw any of the students or anyone else take the bait.
We seem to have a need in this country for a scapegoat whenever anything goes wrong. How about just point the finger at the person responsible: the damn guy with the guns? If someone goes that batsh** crazy and wants to do something like that, there's very little we can realistically do to stop them. |
I hear you. I don't even stand for conservative republicans doing this. As we well know, our politics have gone awry and seem to get worse and slimier. We cannot accomplish anything as we are now.
