It's nice to know that people from out of town think it's beautiful just like I do. Driving to the Plaza to work isn't a picnic and thank goodness I only do that twice a week now. But every year, some friends and I get together and make a night of it on the Plaza. We start off with appetizers and drinks, then go to a move at the swanky place (where we can booze it up and eat more snacks while we watch the show!), then try to find another bar for cocktails before heading home. Usually, we park in my building, which is at the far corner, and walk to all these places. By the time we get back to our cars in the freezing cold, we're sober again. 'course we're all old ladies too, so it doesn't take much!!!
It absolutely is one of the most beautiful places in town at Christmastime - all the lights and the stores are open late. And you pass people on the sidewalk and everyone speaks - just like the old days!
