I want to thank all of those who posted on this subject. Thanks to each of you. I wish I could say that I did not worry one bit, but I don't need my nose way out there! lolol Lord, do all parents go through this? I did my best, to NOT be overprotective, but I think I messed that up just a little! lolol
Hey, I could have taken the next plane out there! lolol. I would "STILL" be sitting in the airport in L.A. I am glad that he was able to go and see the things he saw, and see where I was while at Navy Corpsman school before being assigned the the 5th Marine Div. The 60's were NOT a good time for Navy "DOC'S" stationed with the Marines! But, he got to see where I was when I was younger than him! From what he told me, they tore down the old Balboa Naval Hospital, but was still able to see just how beautiful San Diego really is. I know he had a very good time, cause he came home with little money! Anyway, thanks to all of you for putting up with an "old" dad! God Bless! |
