Amen to that. And if the court can somehow prove that a deadbeat dad is responsible for several kids that he won't pay for, then, uh, *snip snip*. I'm as tired as anyone of hearing about people abusing our charity. Make 'getting fixed' a prerequisite for recieving any more welfare checks.
I'm sympathetic to the struggles of others. I like paying the taxes to help someone who just had a rough couple months due to a layoff and needs a hand getting back on his feet. I think a short term safety net is a sign of a civilized society. However, I'm not interested in carrying your butt long term. Welfare is charity, not a right. It is an act of kindness from each tax-paying member of our society. If you take advantage of my kindness, you can go straight to hell.
