Politicians. Got'a lov'em

After reading in the Globe about the decision to go with Global I again found myself simply confused on the thoughts of politicians. Personally, I thought Heritage's offer better suited our needs but not surprised we choose cheap when it comes to tourism. It's our standard game plan when addressing tourism/WND. I mean look what we did to the racetrack.

Anyway, once again at a total loss as to why WE allow such important decisions to be made by a few with little to no idea/concern what the public thinks, it finally hit me. We need someone to blame. For example in the case of the choice of the SEC I'm sure if they had chosen the go with Heritage the majority would have complained about our leaders spending our money too freely. Since they chose the cheaper, I'm hearing the majority complain about not taking tourism serious and wanting the WND program to fail.

I'm thinking the answer seems so obvious there must be more to it. It seems putting such items to a public vote would be a simple solution to our leaders never representing the majority, but then I realized that would put the blame on a bad choice on the public. Why would we need leaders if we were willing to take the blame ourselves.

OK I feel better now. Sorta
