| I had a frustrating experience at Arby's drive-through window the other night that had nothing to do with the server's command of the English language — I hope.
I ordered a grilled, not crispy, chicken sandwich, potato cakes and a shake, and I had to repeat my order twice because the server thought I wanted mozzarella sticks AND potato cakes. Lo and behold, when I pulled up to the window, I found both items printed on my receipt, and a crispy chicken sandwich in the bag! I hope I kept my temper when I handed the receipt back and said I didn't order the sticks and didn't want them, but I was pretty ticked off by that point. (To be fair, the supervisor refunded my money for the sticks without my having to ask her.) The supervisor said they were having problems with their new speaker, which may be true, but I thought I'd made myself perfectly clear.
I like Arby's and don't want to start boycotting them, but I will if I have many more experiences like the one I had the other night. (Although I haven't had any previous problems.) |
