| I'm thinking you have a bigger problem. The unable to read/write a file from the CD is a generic error message basically meaning the install could not complete a task. Possible problems include a hard drive going bad, heat problem(as was mentioned) and my favorite, bad memory.
If your PC has more than one stick of memory try taking the one farthest from the processor out and do the reinstall/repair.
