| I don't necessarily agree with protecting him, but don't think he was a public safety problem either. If guilty, the guy offed his girlfriend for whatever wrong he thinks she did. That doesn't mean he's going to go postal. He's a police officer, so you know they had to do some mental tests and have some idea that if he committed this crime, he's not going to turn around and kill a bunch of others or walk into a bar and start shooting. It was personal and it's finished. That's my take on it. I dunno....I just don't think it's a huge public service to let everybody's panties get in a wad...or maybe I'm just sensitized toward stupid, senseless murders.
