I have a question about COX internet tech's. Do they normally take a new customers old dial up modem out and keep it? I have ran across 5 people now that require a dial up to my corp proprietary network. All have had their modems taken out by cox and kept by COX. This last one I did , they just got cox and was using Pioneer dial up just before that. Cox came and took their modem, installed a network card, then used the ONBOARD network port leaving the card they installed with nothing hooked to it.

They didn't need to take their dial up modem and they didn't need to install a second network card. This customer had to go to walmart and buy another dial up modem.

Is there a pile of modems destined for ebay by a cox employee or employees? humm.
