Many moons ago a friend of mine moved to Texas and was looking for work. Several jobs paid
less than minimum wage. He was told if he didn’t want to work for less there was plenty of Mexicans that would.
If you want to keep wages low, flood the job market with undereducated, often illiterate workers that can’t speak English.
