The only thing that the domestics have going for them, which could be part of the problem, is the extensive dealer network. I recently owned a 2002 Nissan Maxima. I was traveling to visit little sis at KSU when the thing broke down on a Saturday morning in Great Bend. The GM dealer there said no one in Great Bend would touch it and that I needed to cripple it into Salina. I showed up at Salina and they said that their Nissan service was closed so I needed to go further up the road to Manhattan. Finally arrived in Manhattan where they fixed the problem, but I had to leave it there until the part got in. I hopefully, won't have that problem in my Pontiac! There's multiple dealerships everywhere even in small towns, not just in the big cities. Which makes me wonder where all the Mini's and other imports get serviced here in DC? They treated my baby Maxima like the black plaque.
