Please show me anywhere that anyone called a min wage earner a low life...that is just utterly ludicris. You feel that they cost you too much already? Do ya realize after taxes that hourly wage barely buys a gallon of milk, a gallon of gas, a loaf of bread. We realize it...yes. Oh well - guess not. I personally don't mind payingpaying a little more to whom? How many employees do you have? a little more to raise the standard of living or at least the opportunity to raise the standard of living for anyone. Virtually everyone has the opportunity to raise their standard of living....doing it off of the backs of business owners and gov't mandated wages isn't the way to do it. How about hard work, education and learning a skill...Don't bother me none. Small business owners will probably feel the pinch I agree and I hope that's not a hardship for anyone but then it's a hardship at anytime to pay more for what you used to get for a fixed price. If there wasn't minimum wage - there would be no where to start from when it comes to what a person is worth. Sure there would...they are worth what the market dictates. No one sets a minimum wage for a nurse but they make X dollars an hour because of the need for them and their skill... Not everyone (most) aren't honest enough to pay people what they are worth. Look at the slave labor commin in here everyday.
I will agree with you on one thing though...and I think most others will too...you are DEFINITELY swimming upstream.
