In the medical profession, be it a dentist or surgeon, setting up a practice is a matter of choice. The key is to attract good doctors and lets face it we aren't that attractive at the moment. I think a casino will help change that.
I'm guessing close to 70%, if not more, of our local medical patients are non-Americans. The vast majority have no insurance and are self-pay if they pay at all. Conditions are not that favorable in dodge to attract high quality doctors.
I agree with OLDHAG that Dr. McFadden is good and so far I've been able to get in on little notice. That will probably change if it hasn't already.
