ok, here's the scoop so far.
I have signed up, took about 10 days for the number rollover to take place (wanted to keep my old numbers). United personally called me about 5 days into it, and said I could now make calls on my phone, just not receive them. And United called me on the 10th day (or so) and told me the number porting went through, and could now cancel my Alltel (which I did with pleasure!)
Now for my service part of it, I live in Spearville, and is really nice to look at the phone and have full service! I went to Jetmore the other day and had full service, have full service in Dodge. I am very happy with it.
I have spent less than an hour total in the United offices (main office and the mall) that included signing up getting phones, ect... Gee with Alltel you have to be there at 8:30 to stand in line for them to open at 9:00 and to find out only 1 person is working ect.....
Bottom line I am very happy so far, I have not been out of their "Southwest KS calling coverage" to be on with Sprint yet, but will be traveling around the holidays and will let you know.
