Who asked for gory details? I don't recall anybody asking for that. But, having the knowledge that John Doe is suspected of sexual misconduct with a minor would be useful information to John Doe's neighbors who are trying to protect the children that they are trying to raise. It might help them keep a more watchful eye on their children when they are playing in the neighborhood.
