actually real history was totally destroyed in Cripple Creek, including parking lots around historic houses (until they got them moved away), etc.

Now, with mountains, it is, I guess, still pretty. But it has nothing to do with history, that's for sure.

I'll find the photos to post. It is sad, from a historic point of view -- although I'm sure money has been made (what, the measure of all things ?).
